City Streets 07:34
East end of London, wandering once more Crime is creeping right around the corner Lost vagrant souls call these Whitechapel streets their home Battling to escape their crooked fate to no avail Years have passed yet Ripper's shadow's cast upon us all As darkness spreads around this place, bad spirits linger I know these streets, I called them once my home Living nightmare, no escape at all Don't they deserve to be saved from this misery at last Can I pull them out of this eternal rust I walk these city streets Searching for an answer As the darkness falls I can feel their despair Empty eyes of longing Crying out for more I walk these city streets And through it all the darkness falls I see them struggling to provide and what for This strung out life in apathy Corruption really got the best of them False hope is flirting with their minds Years of struggling to survive and this is what they got Forever longing for a taste of something better Trading their labor for salvation of some sort It's time for something here to change, this can't go on Nobody seems to flinch while one more innocent soul's gone Just social depravity at full throttle I walk these city streets Searching for an answer As the darkness falls I can feel their despair Empty eyes of longing Crying out for more I walk these city streets And through it all the darkness falls Across these city streets Darkness seems to sink in deeper now with every breath I can't be the only human on this earth that cares Boiling hate and anger, this city's had enough Soon will set itself on fire A new age is dawning and will leave them all behind Upper class won't care about their futile lives Running out of time my chances numbered They deserve a better life I walk these city streets Searching for an answer As the darkness falls I can feel their despair Empty eyes of longing Crying out for more I walk these city streets And through it all the darkness falls I walk these city streets Over and over again I

Lost Souls 06:28
Terror breaks the peaceful night, it struck my mentor's home Agony his face is clearly showing The man that saved me from the streets is lying dead before me This is not a robbery someone's here for something more Empty eyes staring at me, his blood now freezing cold Somehow I just can't let go Trying to tell me something, I've seen that look before To protect me from acts unspeakable Left for dead yet never rested, mysteries unsolved Fighting battles far beyond control I have sworn to end this madness, there's no time to mourn Have to fight redeeming their lost souls Bringing back those memories That Autumn night of yore Witnessing the Ripper, left a scar on my soul Just a boy of no hope, fighting to survive Stealing, hiding on my mind You took me under your wing, gave me skills for life The only one who trusted what I'd seen that night What scarred my soul, so many years ago Lingers in my memory and won't let go Eyes devil red, a real horror show No words to describe it, never seen before The Beast was done and leaving I watched him walked away A pool of blood, her body senseless I closed her eyes, an effort to relieve her pain Message in his hand Tread with caution Obsession and insanity a thin line away There's more to this story Please forgive my sins There's no more time for what I have to say Seek the light in the shadows The secret must be known Left for dead yet never rested, mysteries unsolved Fighting battles far beyond control I have sworn to end this madness, there's no time to mourn Have to fight redeeming their lost souls Light the shadows Reveal

Minutes to hours Days fade into weeks I'm still no closer to finding The truth I seek I was told to move on The case shut and sealed Can't leave the past behind Open wounds won't heal Misdirected for cover's sake Or am I losing my mind And who will answer for this crime All swept away by blinded eyes Like shattered remains of a looking glass Can I put together the pieces of the past All of the answers are buried well deep All the deception and masquerades fade away All loyal servants in fantasy land Just for sake of some dignity facade Uncovered truth may hurt deeply As I am solving this case And who will answer for this crime All swept away by blinded eyes Like shattered remains of a looking glass Can I put together the pieces of the past Clues left forgotten in the dead of night Witnesses all ignored Abandoned tunnel, stories of despair And a dagger found on the floor All of my thoughts unraveling Could it be really happening Maybe they're even hiding it Sweeping it all Under the rug Could it be all a cover up Something is just not adding up Maybe I'm just not far enough Losing my mind Giving this fight Told me to stop a long time ago Yet here I am, just can't let go Into the dark once more I'll dive Finding the truth Seeing it through Despite their never-ending tries All his atrocities to hide I think I understand what's happening Selling their lie Needless to try Leave behind All of the weight Search for the light Making decisions really fast Time has come to face the Beast at last My goal is clear, won't skip another chance I'm ready to go All the way Coming for you The light in the dark must be found I'm in too deep to turn back now To face the fear and uncover them all Keeping it hidden for too long Digging through his archives piled in dust Missing pages and scraps Leave me wondering who to trust Ripper questions unanswered His investigation trails all ended cold From the dawn of age War of good and evil This fight rages on and on Days turn to nights My mind turns numb I'm on the brink Oh wait, this symbol Links the dagger with the ring A shadow lurking Between the dark and light Evil dwells near A never-ending fight Make me understand How to put an end Face the fear and find answers hidden well Far too long I dwell Maybe underground is where this story ends I'll piece the puzzle together in the end All of the pieces that link the past with current times I'm feeling ready to face this kind of hell No more fear for this conspiracy And who will answer for this crime All swept away by blinded eyes Like shattered remains of a looking glass I will put together the pieces of the past I will find the truth Uncover all their sins Into the night Now my hunt begins Pieces of the past Dagger to ring Pieces of the past The symbol Pieces of the past To the tunnel Pieces of the past

Underground 05:33
What could be that drew me out here What do I expect to find No trespassing sign that warns me Paranoia fuels my mind Gathering my thoughts A lantern lights my path I make my way in with uncertainty Blood red walls appear that weep with grief Will this obsession be the death of me What do I seek Secrets lie in the dark abyss Underground Hidden from light Evil's lurking in trenches deep Underground Every step I take I'm sinking Deeper into the unknown Water drops or is it footsteps Could it be I'm not alone Does this prove his point, was he right all along I owe it to my mentor to stay strong Have I gone too far to unveil the past I need a second to make my mind up fast Shadows dance Shadows dance Shadows dancing on the wall Footsteps down the corridor What's this red light through wall cracks flickering I burst into this room no eyes could see Lit candles, ancient writings, not seen before An open journal shocks me to the core What do I seek Secrets lie in the dark abyss Underground Hidden from light Evil's lurking in trenches deep Underground Footsteps approaching Shadows drawing near I can feel a presence I'm not alone HELLO DETECTIVE

Inferno 07:23
You were warned to stay clear But you will not back away You should have just disappeared Throw your past memories away We've watched you stubbornly suffer while trying to revolt Despite what you've been told Got so close, now you're one step away Your mentor's lying in his grave He met his fate You know too much to be spared I'll make sure there's no loose end Fighting for my life in the underground Inside this hell Rampaging fire's growing There's no escape from this conspiracy This burning cell Real infernal fight How could I be so naive Trapped like a rat in a cage Served up myself like a prey Now lost in this maze My life in danger Fight to survive, tooth and nail A twisted tale Breaking free now from my captor Only to be trapped again Out in this tunnel I'm puzzled Wild fire's taken free reign Amber and crimson the flames burn Smokes fiercely stride I run to cover his distance Fighting red ghosts with my life Fighting for my life in the underground Inside this hell Rampaging fire's growing There's no escape from this conspiracy This burning cell This ain't over Fighting for my life in the underground Inside this hell Rampaging fire's growing There's no escape from this conspiracy This burning cell Burning cell Burning Hell Real infernal fight Circled in fire Trapped in this inferno And there's No escape No escape No escape No escape

about

What is our fascination with the darker side of humanity? Is there some primal instinct built into our psyche that ignores our natural reaction to turn away from horrific events and instead urges us to look anyway? Is there some type of never satisfied appetite that drives us towards the continual pursuit of the unknown? To find the answers to the questions "Who?", "What?", "Where?", and the ever elusive "Why?" There is a very thin line that separates the thirst for knowledge and the addictions of obsession.

Set in the city of London during the year 1898, a new century approaches as the Victorian age draws to an end. It has been ten years since the horrific murders of Jack the Ripper gripped the city in fear. The darkness of those gruesome events still casts a grim shadow over the city and its citizens. An up-and-coming detective is thrown into a murder mystery involving the suspicious death of his former mentor the now retired retired Metropolitan Police Commissioner. The Detective has vowed to solve this case and begins to discover far more than he ever imagined. Clues and raised suspicions all lead to a twisted tale of betrayal, secret societies, and murder all seemingly linking back to the Ripper. Will the Detective uncover the long-hidden secrets of London’s sorted past or will he become a victim of his own unrelenting obsession?

"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzsche
